Robbery at poker tournament Berlin (better footage)

"During an international poker tournament in Berlin, some armed robbers burst into the room, and panic erupted.

Armed with Kalashnikovs and hand grenades, six masked robbers stormed the Grand Hyatt hotel in the central Potsdamer Platz, aiming the weapons players, judges, hostesses and security personnel and have taken the full amount of bets from the tables, running away with 800,000 euros."

Sounds like a professional robbery? Look at this footage, it's a bunch of amateurs.

  • Must admire the camaraderie between these crooks, as they were smart enough to come back and rescue the crook in the red sweater, otherwise he would have sang like a canary and they would have all been busted.

Amatuers or professionals they were original and managed to escape with money without seriously getting hurt themselves or killing someone else.

    • 7 slightly injured, no shots fired. booty is "only" about 250k Euro. at least one player or staff must have been involved as the 6 robbers entered just the right moment the revenues where brought to the safe. they did'nt wear gloves as well.

    • I'm pretty sure that the tournament is open to the public. You just need to buy a ticket. An inside man could've just been an observer with a cell phone.

However I'd heard that the tournament director's wife was held at gunpoint which would indicate that these boys did their homework.

    • Maybe you should your facts straight before you comment.
I am a coworker from the guard that tried to stop the robbery. I was in the casino across the street when it happened.
He told me that they were armed with a machete and one gun, and that gun was a gas gun. There were 4 robbery and under a 100k euros was stolen.
The man had balls to try and stop them, more than I can say for all the people standing there and not helping him.
Just want to thank all the people in the lobby that stood there w More..

    • Had your coworker unmasked him the case would've been solved. From this vid you can clearly tell the robbers are lucky ass amateurs, and I'm sure they will be caught.
These guys are just peanuts if you compare them to the Graff heist in London, for example.

    • for sure man. Why was that guy with the cap covering the left profile of his face as he walked past the camera?i thought that was suspicious

  • Well, amateurs are the worst, they can kill you and not steal anything.

  • We saw about 10 videos of this robbery and i didnt see a single AK74 kalashnikov

  • Maybe the guy that they grabbed was just a small time thief that figured he grab a few things while the real robbers was doing their thing and they caught him and looks like he had a friend to make them let him go. if he was part of the gun group i dont think they would have been after him.

  • Dumb euros didn't have armed guards for such a big event.

    • Stupid liberal politicians must have banned all guns in Germany. Too bad the criminals don't give a fuck about the law. They continue to carry their weapons, while we are defenseless. Those thugs can do whatever they want to us now. We just have to bend over and take it. That's the only explanation I can think of as to why none of these security people in this video are armed.

    • Speilbank Berlin Potsdamer Platz, that hosted the event, told us that we were not able carry our guns for fear of someone being hurt. They had the bright idea of having 1 mil euros standing there without us being armed. And we are all licesnsed to carry guns.
