Detecting in Europe is so much more interesting, you can find objects that are many centuries old.
Tip, Using a shovel(a big shovel or the small ones you can fold in)instead of the trowel saves you a lot of work.
I rarely use a trowel, mostly only when i need to clear the dirt away from a larger object.

I had a fold up shovel in my backpack. most of the signals were near the surface. Detecting in Europe would be very cool.

@10fold I see. :D
It sure is and you always go home with something interesting.
That is what i love about metal detecting, you walk in a field or a forest totally in your zone. Often you find nothing to write home about but cool nonetheless but sometimes you get a nice coin, old artifacts or militaria.
It's not only the thrill for objects i am after but it is a great stress relieve too!

I watched a woman strolling along Aberdovey beach (Wales) with a detector as people were done sunbathing for the day. She'd found about £12 in coins, a kids toy tractor as well as a lot of ring-pulls and rubbish ... it looked a fun way to spend a couple of hours.

I'm gonna go to the parks in my town and throw ball bearings and pennies all over, just so wankers like this will (further) waste their time

I have only been detecting now for about 3 weeks and I have found silver. 192* standing liberty that could be worth between $5.00 to $2300.00 and a possible colonial button. Oh ya, I found a 1910 pocket watch 3 days ago. that was a cool find.

Enjoyed the vid.
So... Frisbee golfers don't tip like regular golfers?
Fuck being a caddie in those conditions, no matter how much less a couple discs weigh vs a whole bag o' clubs.

Hey buddy niiice video, the tool that you use along with the metal detector, how you call that tool? I think is also Garret, but you use it in the dirt and all.. (like a mini metal detector?)
And that rainforest is way cool!
Keep them comming.

Thanks to you for sharing this hobbie with us, also the outdoors are great!
Can you please make a short video, like a description, of how the Garret works? I saw Ferrous and no Ferrous, and some scale of coin depth.. How long the batteries last, etc..
That would be helpfull to understand better that equip!
=)
