50 homes have been destroyed in the Breezy Point area of Queens NY at the height of Hurricane Sandy. Firefighters had a hard time reaching the buildings on fire as flood waters surrounded them. A church and other commercial buildings were also destroyed. The 6 alarm fire continues to burn as this is posted.
