Afghan refugees gather outside the house in Haripur, Pakistan, where Pakistan's intelligence agency believes Osama bin Laden lived for nearly a year until he moved into the villa where he was eventually killed.

It's an ornate but not lavish two-storey house tucked away at the end of a mud-clogged street. This is where Pakistan's intelligence agency believes Osama bin Laden lived for nearly a year until he moved into the villa in which he was eventually killed.
The residence in the frontier town of Haripur was one of five safe houses used by the slain Al Qaeda leader while on the run in Pakistan, according to information revealed by his youngest wife, who has been detained.
Retired Pakistani Brigadier Shaukat Qadir, who has spent the last eight months tracking bin Laden's movements, said he was taken to the Haripur house last November by intelligence agents who located it from a description they got from Amal Ahmed Abdel-Fatah al-Sada.

Furthermore, when they did find him (or so they say), they DID NOT TAKE HIM ALIVE and THEY DID NOT TRY HIM. Insted they killed him and threw him off a boat at sea.

@Rebel_Radius New Zealand is a country of about 60 million sheep but only around 4 million people, that says a lot !

@allank Unfortunately the sheep got the boot when dairy prices went through the roof. Now because of a REGULATED MARKET, there is a MONOPOLY ON THE DAIRY INDUSTRY and it is more profitable to raise cows. New Zealand USED to be the free range cattle industry of the world but SINCE REGULATIONS, the cattle are feed on palm tree's instead of grass, a lot of the dairy farms are owned by the Chinese and the clean green New Zealand grown produce is gentically modified, chemically induced, palm tree f More..

Yes, this would be right where I would hide if I had a $25 million bounty put on my head. Right in with the same people my team was fighting every day. Even though I look like an Arab version of Dennis Rodman, no one would figure it out. Who doesn't go outside for years so he can't be identified even though he has a family? Medical care must have been done in house because of dialysis treatments and doctor visits were necessary.
One last thing, who got the $25 million?

The Pakistanis had Bin Laden under house arrest for some time. They could not simply hand him over or there would've been a civil war. The timing of the raid and the taking of Bin Laden was more about the Obama administration trying to pull out of a public approval tail spin.

@Eluf-ant
You have to be joking. The raid and seizure of bin laden led to public outrage and an enormous embarrassment. To suggest that the government were complicit is to ignore the realities.

@Eluf-ant riight, Pakistan voluntarily let us walk right into the heart of their country, next to their capital and what would be their west point, so that we could make their country look completely impotent and defenseless against anything we wanted. I doubt any muslim country would voluntarily let the US violate them like that.

@Roach1983 - I never said Pakistan handed him over. You're right, all hell did break loose. What I'm saying is we knew where he was and we knew the Pakistanis had him. This is all speculation on my part, we can still do that, right?
