Central London's Tottenham Court Road was closed after a man wearing gas canisters reportedly stormed into an office and threatened to blow himself up.
• Scotland Yard sent a hostage negotiator to the scene amid reports the man had held people hostage inside the building several floors up.

Huffington Post journalist Stephen Hull, who is on Tottenham Court Road, spoke to 27-year-old Abby Baafi, who claims she was the intended target of the bomb threat.
Ms Baafi said the man had entered the building and threatened to blow up it up, saying he didn't care about his life, didn't care about anything and was going to 'blow up everything'.
Pictures from outside Shropshire House, show smashed office equipment on the ground, with police officers predicting the road is likely to remain cordoned off for the foreseeable future.
