  • Someone remind me again how much money Obama got from BP.
The Deep Sea Drilling was authorized by the Clinton Administration.

    • BP does stand for BRITISH PETROLIUM, cough cough... and if it doesn't stop then you might even get oil washing up on your own shore, good for you, you found a way to get the oil directly to your country without pumping it.... and to those who say nuking it will work, you're obviously bumble fuck retards, do you really want globs of radioactive hurricane oil falling on your head?

    • Well, I just wanted to see the big bang ....I don't give a shit about the radioactive stuff....Shit, the oil will last longer than the radiation anyway....So....Fucking nuke it!

    • BP may have the name, but its not a British company.
Its part of the Anglo-Dutch-American company which has been based in Holland for the last 20 years

Also the nuke idea has been tested and used before, and it does work, the nuke doesn`t have to be big, its placed underground along side the drill hole and then pluged, the detonation causes the ground to move and closes the drill hole.

    • BP is the United Kingdom's largest corporation, with its headquarters in St James's, City of Westminster, London.

  • They can't use a nuke due to nuclear test ban treaties. It may work but the fallout, both politically and literally would be too negative, plus if it doesn't work it would make the oil flow much worse.

    • Test ban treaties wouldn't apply, since it isn't a test. The explosion would be well below the sea bed, so there wouldn't be any measurable radiation at all. But there would be plenty of political fallout. But they already have bad name anyway, so why not?

    • Then use an even BIGGER nuke! LOL.

  • Do you guys know that they are fucking BURNING the oil they are collecting? Over 12 million gallons so far...This shit could still be processed even with the chemicals in it.....LOL, I see NOW they are saying 40,000 barrels per day....

  • A nuke would sound like a last resort option to me. If you want to watch the mess live the Skandi ROVs and Enterprise ROV 1 are sitting just feet away at the moment. What an eerie site.

  • the title should read
"Goldman Sachs sold their shares shortly after Senior Executive files with SEC that he sold a substantial portion of his shares"

    GS was just being prudent

  • It's a shame that there is is such a large gap between what the OIl Companies tell us and reality. If the gap is filled with wild speculation, who's fault is that?
Making a policy of telling the truth would be a difficult task for Big Oil, but it would keep everyone on the same page. I think the cat is out of the bag. The public kind of gets that BP doesn't have any control of this leak and that right More..

  • The russians have successfully been using nukes to do the same since what(?) the sixties or seventies. Nothing new.
