  • Unions are fine in the workplace, if the employees vote for it.

It's in government where they don't belong.

  • Yes, let's all unionize. That way we'll have massive layoffs and unemployment will skyrocket as companies cut workers to make up for the increased wages and higher amount of sick days union workers take compared to their non-union counterparts.

    Dumbest idea ever.

  • The more our Country leans toward Unions the more you will see jobs leave the coutry. Get a brain people!!! Everyone has to Sacrifice in todays global economy and it has to start with unions. Pay scale must drop to be more reasonable so that you can be more competitive on a global scale other wise what ever your product or service may be, it will be to expensive in comparison to others. Its a changing world wether you like it or not and unions will have no place in the near future. and yes i kn More..

  • "Should unions be allowed to form in the work place"

Should workers have the right to collectively have a say on how they are treated and how safe their work environment is?

  • Yes HS. Unionizing should be a last resort in labor disputes. It's covered in the constitution. The right to assemble.

  • Because Unions don't the same tactics to coerce people into their political views. Right?

    • @SjetS The workers in Ohio already came out and said no one was forced to go to the event. No one was coerced, or penalised for not going. Unions will send thugs to employees who even mention they will vote other than Democrat.

    • @dog64 As a former union organizer I call BS on your statements Unions will freely contact members who are registered to vote and will suggest who the union is supporting no one looks over a shoulder while a vote is cast. Unions are much more democratic then Stock markets or Capitalism. At least an actual vote is involved.

    • @DemocratWithDerringer Depends on the Union. My step father was a Teamster in MN, and he said they ran things on the up and up there, but it wasn't like that everywhere.

  • i dont see why not, if its ok for government to be a gang of bullies to get what they want, then its ok for a union to be a gang of bullies to get what they want too... oh wait, two wrongs don't make a right

  • Good. I hope Walmart unionizes and starts shutting down stores because of it.

  • Unions are great until they start holding the company that employees them hostage.
