when you tug on the trailer to check that it is locked in ,.that's ok,.but you should always check to make sure the fifth wheel pull pin is all the way in,..
I've heard horror stories about trailers falling off because the pins were not all the way in,.even after checking for the tug,..
just a safety note from an old trucker,..
stay safe bud,..
look forward to more vids,.
cheers!
Your right.. Also you check for a gap between the trailer and the fith wheel. that means the king pin is riding ontop of the fith wheel jaws. First big bump you completely loose the trailer.
Kinda hard to fit everything there is to do in a 5 min vid.
I remember seeing a sign for Al's Reefer Service when I was a kid. I thought it was a head shop. Truckin' ain't easy. Thanks for stepping up & doing it. Drive safe. Voted.

Right on; thanks man; that was cool...voted :) Are you an instructor? I didn't realize you guys check everything like that before you operate; there are so many lame drivers of other types of automobiles. So; that's really cool that it is a manual and the engine compartment was that nice; it looked really well built :)
Cool vid! Tried to watch it yesterday but it wouldn't play for me. I used to wrench on a fleet of Kenworths. Can't count how many times drivers asked me to turn up the top speed anytime they saw me with the computer hooked to it. Anyhow you take care and be well out there.

As well as physically inspecting the jaws with a flashlight to ensure they closed.
