lol, i think that was way back in the past when we as humans probably knew no better. but as of today its very wrong. im not saying it doesnt happen , but it should not be an accepted thing to do. we are all wiser and supposed to be more humane than way back then.are we not better educated than to allow peados to carry on that sick shit? from how i see it, it only seems to be islam that still thinks that pedophilia is good and fine. the rest of the world seems to have moved on.why cant islam adapt from those sick and dirty days?

Islamic jurisprudence regarding marriage is set up for the women more so than the man.
Both the bride and groom have to be competent. They have to both physically mature (puberty) and psychologically mature for the marriage to take place.
Furthermore:
According to the UN report on Child Brides, the average age of first marriages for the predominantly Muslim countries listed,
Pakistan 21
Egypt 22
Yemen 21
They had the highest average ages for first marriage.
While India, a predominantly Hindu country, had the average age of first marriages at 19 years. And even worse, approximately 17 percent of girls were wed before the age of 10 in INDIA

It was common for his time, and that argument comes straight from Mr. Colin Turner who is a a professor of Islamic history and Persian language.
I use atheist or christian sources so i don't have an ounce of bias in my arguments.
And regarding the posts, generally, from what i have seen, they are very uneducated.
Simply put, a cleric is a preacher, no more and no less.
They preach what they don't know, and if i can debunk them, it doesn't speak highly of their knowledge!

agreed it was common hundreds of years ago. you see my point is this. so many scholars are seen openly advocating child brides . even stating the koran as telling them so. now, if these people are scholars on the subject of the koran and its teachings, whos verdict is to be taken , theirs or yours? being as you use atheist or christian sources, do you think they would understand the koran as much as a muslim scholar does? you see where im coming from right? on one hand, we hear that child sex is fine, straight from the horses mouth. on the other hand, we have atheist or christian sources.... do you see where im coming from?
