With a Indenor ( peugeot ) diesel in it
That car was incredible , it could take a sloop where Landrovers where scared of

Yeah! Niva is great considering that its designed back in 1976, except for the horrible noise inside when your speed is 100+. It was real and maybe single success of Soviet light automotive industry.

sometimes I put on a Hawaiian shirt & pretend Im Magnum PI; every once in a while my Welsh neighbor plays the part of Higgins, he looks nothing like the character, however his accent is spot on.

A Lada is a FIAT made under license in Russia. When I lived in Germany, I had a rust-bucket FIAT called a Ritmo. The Germans joked that Ritmo stood for 'Rost in Torino montiert' (Rust made in Torino).
