    And FYI - staying in your position when under retaliatory attack by air support is stupid, not brave. Bravery would have been to grab the mortar and try to set up a new firing position and continue the attack from there rather than cowering on the ground.

    The Viet Cong were brave, they would continue moving and firing while being bombed to hell and back. Just cowering on the ground waiting to die is not bravery.

Bravery has nothing to do with the amount of support you have, though it should be mentioned the Taliban have about the same amount of support as the VC had in terms of man power, and the amount of weapons you have has nothing to with how brave you are either.   • They get props for bravery...Like'm or not, they were prepared to die before they got into position. They know full well they are out-gunned in every aspect of modern warfare, particularily, the technologically advanced allies, they probably didn't even bring alot of shells let alone enough fuel for the drive home.
