JOHN MCCAIN'S BAILOUT BLUNDER :Not a little fail, but an Epic Fail. A FAILURE of EPIC PROPORTIONS.
In political terms, John McCain needed this bailout bill to pass. Now that its failed in the House, its clear that this could pose a serious blow to his campaign — and that his big campaign suspension gambit could backfire badly.
McCain said he was going to lead the Republican charge, he was going to make sure that this was a bipartisan success. He called CHARGE, and the Republicans RETREATE
More..D. Thats what happened here.
McCain takes credit for bill before it loses. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and his top aides took credit for building a winning bailout coalition hours before the vote failed and stocks tanked (700 points).
The rush to claim he had engineered a victory now looks like a strategic blunder that will prolong the McCains campaigns difficulty in finding a winning message on the economy.
Think about how bad this is for McCain. He suspended his campaign last week and promised to get the House GOP on board.
The bill failed because those very same Republicans bailed once Pelosi hurt their feelings. McCain put his leadership credentials on the line and failed.
Not a little fail, but an Epic Fail. A FAILURE of EPIC PROPORTIONS.
And the worst part about it is that he and his campaign have been claiming for the past 48 hours that it was McCains leadership that got the bill passed...
Less..

Dems could have passed the vote on their own, but they knew the voters would go ballistic. And they would lose the house.
Also today it came out, that Pelosi was allowing Dems to vote no if they were in a close election at home. Plus did anybody see her speech.
Its amazing that the Dems simply cannot say, "looked we ****ed up" and we are sorry. But were are going to fix it.

All of the media pricks are self serving, Lon Dobb's said he's loosing money too but he didn't care if he was broke as long as this bailout didn't go through, I feel the same way, Paulson wants to bailout banks overseas, NO WAY, Let's take care of our own first

How do you figure? It's unpopular than the immigration amnesty bill.

Since McCain was dumb enough to support this crap, he deserves a shit storm. You can't say you're a conservative and support socialism. Look at Bush's approval rating. I'm still not going to vote for Obama, because he's openly a socialist.

Anyone paying attention to what the fed did today? They injected 630 billion into the system. It did not work. This bail out is a joke.

"About two-thirds of Republican lawmakers refused to back the rescue package, as well as 95 Democrats."
"Pelosi said the $700 billion "is a number that is staggering, but tells us only the costs of the Bush administration's failed economic policies."
"But Barney Frank, the top Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee, demanded about Republicans: "Because somebody hurt their feelings, they decided to punish the country?" He said he did not think the Republican leadership was able to get enough colleagues to support the bailout and was diverting attention to Pelosi."
So it is the Democrats fault that 2/3 of republicans voted against it?
Awesome logic you have there, party humper.

public schooling and the VA hospital are socialist
should we privatize them and let a few large corporations control the economic and medical welfare of all americans? ever hear the words "monopoly" and "price gouging"?

The VA hospital is different. It serves those who served this country.
I'd love to see the abolition of public schools. At least the institution of a voucher system that allows people to choose where they send their kids. If the public schools had to compete to keep their dollars, you can bet that the quality of education would improve quickly.

Perhaps logic is not your strong point but here let me clue you in a bit. If the Dems had all voted for the bill they did not need a vote from the Republicans. However the 95 dems that vote ney were worried about their re-election and Plaster Face told them it was okay to vote the way their constituents wanted them to vote. Keeping up now? I know it's a little difficult to understand but we all know where the blame belongs and now... so don't you.

This bailout is a joke.
McCain was right to fight it.
Obama wanted it.
