FOX's Bill O'Reilly Interviews Jon Stewart

Round One of Jon Stewart's appearance on Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor."

There wasn't any big feud leading up to this moment, just six years of daily ideological opposition since Stewart's last appearance on the show. Like a snake and mongoose dumped into the same room, you know something interesting is going to happen.

In the first segment, Stewart said he's "torn" about President Obama's performance.

"He has decided Congress is an equal branch of government -- huge mistake," Stewart said.

"That's a pretty smart analysis. A lot of people don't think you're smart," O'Reilly said.

"If you allow too much nitpicking on the edges of legislation, it will be turned into a lobbyist gruel," Stewart said.

In the second segment the duo debate whether Fox News is a "fair and balanced" news organization, with Stewart calling the network a "cyclonic perpetual emotion machine."

"You have become the most reasonable person on Fox News," Stewart said to O'Reilly. "Which is like being the thinnest kid at fat camp."

    • Heh, but hey, according to the "overwhelming opinion" of Fox viewers, Fox is the most trusted news source according to Fox viewers! How could you argue with opinions like that?

    • True, msnbc is tanking. Fox's stellar ratings...could be because we have a full 1/4 of the country (wingnuts, who are also made up of much older Americans, i.e. less internet savy, also retired, so they watch Fox ALL day) watching Fox and only Fox exclusively. While the remaining, younger, and more OBJECTIVE working population, spread out their news sources of choice among all of the networks and internet sources. Then sure, you get rating results like this. Mr. Ailes loves people like you, blin More..

    • PS, Love your avatar, a cartoon about a creepy, delusional, emotionally unavailable half retarded rock & roll group with speech impediments and nervous ticks, so rich they don't know what to do and always get themselves in fucked up situations losing mass quantities of money in every episode. Kinda reminds me of another group in Washington DC.
