I signed the contract over 25 years ago but, the one thing that (ok, one of many) I will never forget is the fact that first and foremost a Marine is a rifleman. Some may spend more time training in and honing their combat skills but when it comes time for the nut cuttin' every swinging d*ck is expected put on their war face and help the enemy on their way into the next life whether by rifle round or a boot stomp.
