Wide spread minor damage for my town (Emerald Isle). Bogue Inlet Pier and Island Harbor Marina took some hard hits, but both are open for business for Labor Day Weekend! We were fortunate to get the "good" side of the storm. Winds were about 70 mph for 18 hours or so with gusts in the 90's. My little brother spent 2 1/2 hours in the eye on his live-a-board sailboat in the South River just north of Harkers Island with no damage!
Minor damage for me. Just a 40' cedar tree on my garage and live oaks stripped of most leaves. I keep finding cases of beer on my porch from my neighbors...one even brought a mini fridge! She didn't want the beer to get warm! I love this place!
