  • I believe religion was made to prepare one for death, science was made to prepare one for life... No reason both can't coincide, no need to compete with each other.

  • Religion must be pissed at the evolving science. Things were so much easier for religion years ago. Lol.

  • If any of you don't understand faith, it's okay. Maybe another time.

    • I understand faith completely. It's the wilful choice one makes to believe in something someone else tells you without question, and without a demand for substantiation. And you choose to believe becuase there's something in it for you - the belief that death isn't the end of life.

  • Religion was originally created as a form of government.
In some backward countries, its still used for that means.....for instance, Sharia laws in muslim countries.

  • It was a Roman Catholic priest who proposed the big bang theory. The Catholic Church does not reject the theory of evolution. This video is decieving as it implies the Roman Catholic Church are a fundamentalist religion when that is simply not so. Fundamentalist 'Protestant' sects often view science as a big Atheist conspiracy but in the older more established Churches which have a history of sponsoring scientific endeavour it is not the case.
The old Church was very political and hierarchical, More..

  • ~ Everything is determined, the beginning as well as the end, by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for the insect, as well as for the star. Human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper. ~Albert E Einstien

  • Religion is for those who don't want to think too hard. Science is for those who want to think as much as possible. Fear rules religion; knowledge drives science.

Yes because Science has never backpeddled.... right? No... only every 10 mins

  • Another thing, science and faith can co-exist in perfect harmony if there are no lies involved. Sadly the case is not so.

    Posted Jan-9-2011 By

    (-1) | Report

    • No, they cannot co-exist. The very concept of faith violates the basic principles of science. Scnience is about cold, hard, verifiable truth.

    • I've done some time in school too and a lot of the science you learn isn't verified at all, in fact you hear corrections every day in science.

    • I know. Like the number of hypoliphs on the side of a nucleus trundis. Did you know there where seventy-seven and not sixty as thought before?
That settles it, science is debauched.

    • Don't pretend to be dumb. I like science.

      Posted Jan-9-2011 By

      (-1) | Report

    • Of course. That's because science is about finding out the truth, and it's a constant process.

So why don't we see anyone seeking the truth when it comes to religion? Rather, people defer to "faith" and say not to question it?

I'll tell you why, becuase there's nothing to find out. It's all a crock. There's no way to investigate, and verify the existence of something that doesn't exist.

But that's not to say that religion doesn't make corrections. The people in charge of these relig More..

  • think goverments use religion to control people? Think again. They use science to control you. Science is the new religion as far as goverments are concerned.

  • Religion is a myth.
Humans are the only beings smart enough to be dumb enough to believe in a god.
Do plants, animals (other than humans), insects, etc, all forms of life believe in god? Do they go to church? Do their lives revolve around god? Do they question every action to see if jesus approves?

    I thought not.

Plants don't think. Their cells exchange water and light to energy to grow, aka photosynthesis. Animals kill and eat other animals to live. Survival of the fittest, aka evolution.

    • If you ever read a bible you'll find that humans and animals are not the same flesh, but everything is created by YHWH. And how did you come up with that second sentence of yours? Do you consider yourself being a "smart" person or a "dumb"?

    • But bible is made up by humans. So how can you belive in something that's a fantasy?

    • The Bible is not made up by humans.

      Posted Jan-9-2011 By

      (-1) | Report

    • Yes, it's absloutely made up by humans. Half of the chapters are even called "the gospel accoring to [some guy]".

If it was in fact written by "god", why would there be so many errors and contradictions?

....let me guess...because he works in mysterious ways, right?

      Posted Jan-9-2011 By

      (0) | Report

    • No, it's absolutely not made up by humans, it's written by humans inspired by God.

      Posted Jan-9-2011 By

  • So the end message of the video is that God doesn't exist and that everything has a perfectly natural explanation? I guess these folks haven't read about the double slit experiment. Science will never disprove the existence of something unexplainable.

    Posted Jan-9-2011 By

    (-5) | Report

    • who says the science will never be able to explain the double slit experiment?

but anyway, the point of this video was that just because something is unexplainable now doesn't mean it was caused by god.

    • quite so. It is amazing how people will cling to stories eons old that have absolutely no meaning in today's world, and are nothing but myth. Yet they continue to try to use the bible to prove that the bible is true and the inspired word of their invisible sky daddy.
