Two men are being hunted after a young teenage boy was raped in the toilet of a busy department store.

The victim, aged 14, was grabbed and threatened by the pair who told him: “Come with us, do what we say and if you try to run we’ll get you.”

He was frogmarched past shoppers in broad daylight to a toilet in Debenhams where he was raped by one of the men.

Police have now issued CCTV stills of two people they want to question about the shock attack.

Detective Sergeant Liam Boden said: “This young victim has been absolutely devastated by what happened to him.

“As a result we have ensured that he has been supported by officers who are trained in dealing with victims under this type of terrible circumstances.

“What makes this incident doubly shocking is that he was marched across a busy part of the city centre during the late afternoon on Saturday.

“However, this means I am confident that shoppers may have seen the offenders either before or after the incident.

“I want people to take a good look at the men in these images and tell me who they are.”

The boy was targeted at about 5.45pm on Saturday June 2 in Manchester.

He was in a public toilet in the Arndale centre in the city centre where he was approached by two men, one Asian, one white, who stared at him before grabbing and threatening him.

The teenager was led out of the Arndale centre and taken to the nearby Debenhams store.

He was then put in a lift and marched into an upstairs toilet where he was raped by the Asian man.

The traumatised victim later contacted the police and has been supported by a team of specially trained officers.

They have spent the past two months working with him to build up a detailed picture of what happened.

A spokeswoman for Debenhams said: “We were shocked to hear about this incident and would like to reassure everyone this is an isolated case.
