Fatal combination of kids trained to kill first, think later and a war against an invisible enemy. And of course no hard punishment as this would bring all those kids to suddenly think of possible consequences before pulling the trigger and though weaken the military force.

i never said it was one of the worst war crimes, far from it. but it is significant, and an embarassment to american history. plus, it is shocking william calley was treated not as a war criminal, but a war hero, had a popular song written about him praising him, and was pardoned by president nixon. this asshole has not been punished for his crimes
