Smoke seen billowing from plane on descent. Plane Makes Emergency Landing in New York

ALBANY, NY -- A United Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Albany International Airport.
The Boeing 757 was on its way to Chicago from Hartford when an emergency light came on.
The plane was diverted to Albany.
The crew then had to shut down one of the engines.
Smoke could be seen billowing from the plane as it approached the airport.
Mechanics are trying to figure out what went wrong.

It seems to me that the only time you see the "smoke" is when it passes through the clouds. I would say that what we see in this video is condensation trails, not smoke.

Yep that's not smoke, its vapour coming of the wings due to humidity and the angle of attack.

TAKE THIS VID OFF! THAT PLANE IS NOT IN ANY DANGER! The plane is flying through clouds, and whe moisture in them and going through the engines, and moving around the wings! This is VERY normal! Dont post this anymore!
