The troops in the movie were German. The order of the clips has been changed from the original. The original first pictures are the ones at 0:40. A small recce unit hit an IED. The soldiers retreated because the didn't had any support. The pictures in the beginning basically show how the reenforcements deploy smoke grenades and secure the area a few minutes after the IED.
