  • best way to survive an active shooter -- have a gun of your own

  • or the UK version...

1)Health and safety forbids anyone from running inside a public building.Take a gentle stroll with a smile on your face.

2)Get killed or injured, but ultimately you will be responsible for your own blood on the floor therefore if someone slips on it you will be taken to court for negligence.

3)Dont fight back because you'd be infringing the shooters *right* to kill under section 23 paragraph 9 of the European human rights act 2010.

4)If you do fight back.Expect the Police More..

  • What a perfectly cohesive multicultural office that was. To bad that evil white terrorist had to ruin everyone's day.

I too enjoyed the obvious irony of the no guns allow on premises sign at 00:58. I especially loved how it stopped the bad guy from bringing a gun into the building. Oh wait that didn't happen the sign only stopped good men/women from carrying their legal weapons in the building, silly me. Maybe they need a bigger sign.

  • the first thing to do is hand over your Nike basketball shoes, then throw your chicken wings at the shooter as a distraction, then run. after that, blame da gubbamit fo not proteckin yo ass.

  • Lets see now--the building prohibits firearms inside, even by a licensed concealed carry permit holder--thus all those inside are sitting ducks, and notice how the shooter obeyed the sign and stayed out...I am chuckling over this, as it points out the absurdity of gun control

  • In my head my plan is to tackle the guy punch his head into the floor tiles until they are permanently stained with his blood....

But reality....i will be out running people and throwing furniture infront of them to make sure he has targets to slow him down.

Then find a room with a heavy duty sound proof door so he doesn't hear me crying on the other side.

  • I really like this. I'm glad the government put this out. It's simple but it gives realistic options. I carry a gun with me at all times, but I understand that others don't. Regardless of my opinion on carry I am glad that the government is telling people to do something other than "put your head down and wait to die". Run, Hide, Fight. Excellent, really. People should always be prepared.

  • But why did this guy ignore the no guns sign on the door at :58? Clearly the business was protecting everyone by banning guns on the premises.

  • You forgot one. Run/Hide/Fight SHOOT BACK! Negates all three and saves lives. Get guns/Get training/Get permits STOP the active shooter in their tracks.

  • I would have shot back, but then again I actually take my protection in my own hands and carry a gun. The police, minutes away when you have seconds to spare.

Me too, but we both understand that most people don't carry a gun with them at all times. Isn't it at least admirable that they government is telling people how to protect their necks in a situation like this? Of course I would fire back at a shooter, but because of pussification and stigmatization they can't really say that. And regardless, most people don't carry guns. So in most situations, these are the options the general population has, and everyone should be instructed. We l More..

    • @lucidx1 I agree, I just wish more people would stand up and carry a firearm. Not everyone should be allowed, but there are plenty of competent people out there that could responsibly carry a firearm but don't.
Tons of people have "life insurance", but what is the point if it doesn't actually insure your life? A weapon is the only way to proactively insure your life. The other just pays your family when you are dead.

Nice avatar, I just bought my sister a Ruger LCP for her birthday More..

The Ruger LCP in my opinion is a really great carry gun, it's very compact and the .380 will bring down any unarmored target. While I do have plenty of guns I find funner to shoot than the LCP, I never have trouble enjoying myself while shooting no matter what gun is in my hands lol!

And uh huh I completely agree with you, whenever anyone in person asks me why I'm always carrying a gun I just say "life insurance".

  • Don't talk about it, your gun, at work, especially if you company isn't pro gun.

Discreetly and I mean DISCREETLY carry your gun. It is called a CONCEALED weapon for a very good reason; no one but you should ever know you have it, unless it is needed. If it is needed and you save your life; who gives a fuck if they decide to fire you, at least it beats the alternative.

It may not be your preferred gun in your preferred caliber but there are some really nice, small and reliable 9mm and .380 More..

    • @Kmanbay I agree if you have a CCW but your company says no guns on site carry anyway.. who are they to tell you whether you can or cant defend yourself..

Honestly if Im ever in this situation and survive I will sue the hell out of wherever Im at for banning guns and I will sue the state (CA) too

That is one tactic we havent seen victims of mass shootings do is go after the property/ business for being gun free zone aka kill free zone... and I think a suit against a state that makes CCW next More..

If your company says "no guns" carry with caution, because they may fire you, and it is more likely you will get fired than fired upon.

So it is a very personal decision to weigh.

States are considered sovereign under this code, but you might be to file a civil rights suit against the state official for violation of your civil rights. If you can show they violated your rights under 42 USC 1983.

It may not be applicable in this capacity, and I am not a lawyer and can’t sa More..
