Are you absolutely frikin' kidding me ?!?!?!!?? That is really cool. I never even suspected a method of painting something that way. I have a lot of questions, mainly 'how', but that is some sweet skills right there

@FartCommander Because the paints float, you can swirl and mix them on the surface. When you dip the object as they did, you are basically picking up a coat of paint as you sink it into the water.
It's a really cool method IMO.

@FartCommander
also, the paint is hydrophobic, that's why it doesn't mix with the water and why it stays on the wood.

@Procopol Red instead of yellow would have been cooler. I also liked when there were the larger blotches of black before he effed with that.

right, a dark red would be nice to achieve a subtle color difference.

This is a thousand year old painting technique called `ebru` in Turkey or known as paper marbling everywhere else, the real source of origin i think is somewhere in china before christ

Great stuff. This technique is derived from marbling. In old books the front and back pages right against the cover were decorated with marbling. It's an art form in itself with all kinds of instruments being used to create repetitions, like combs, forks etc. to modify the designs. The designs have names. The Japanese have been doing it too for centuries.
There are lots of books explaining how to do it on paper or fabric.
