Safe Mode: On
Mitt was Hoping for an Iran Like Situation

Mitt Romney’s now-infamous fundraising dinner has yielded another gem. This is the event during which he was caught saying that,

”There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for
the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are
with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are
victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for
them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to
housing, to you-name-it — that that’s an entitlement. And the government
should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter
what. … These are people who pay no income tax. … [M]y job is not to
worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take
personal responsibility and care for their lives.”
Of course, those people consist of senior citizens, disabled people,
veterans, students and the poor. The elitism of Romney’s statement
resonated with many people, enough so that it seemed to sway the
election for a few weeks, at least until the first debate.

It seems that for Romney, the “truths” told during that particular
fundraiser are like any ghost worth his reputation, the haunting is
relentless and this latest portion could be the most damaging of all. In
the video, Romney is caught hoping for an Iran hostage type situation
to help propel him into the White House. Is it any surprise that he has
tried to make political hay out of the Benghazi terror attacks?
As you watch the video, notice the man (is that a British accent?)
asking Romney how he can “duplicate” an Iran hostage type scenario.
Instead of dismissing the question as going against American interests,
Romney agrees that the strategy would be beneficial. The entire video is
worth a listen but at the end, Romney says, “if something of that nature presents itself, I will work to take advantage of the opportunity.”

  • The diffence is Obama dosent want to involve the US in another foreign war. He's made that very clear to the pres. of Israel, Peres, but the war mongering Netanyahu has the power to do so. Thats why Obama is dissing him and has for 2 years. You want to protect your country do so, grow a set of balls and and pray the retalitory missiles from Iran dont hit your nuke stock piles or power plants. Either way the US couldnt help you with that senario.

  • Like the 1% hedging their bets that the USA Will fail With their deals they know will fail. It's a win win for the inside dealers.

  • A room full of chicken hawks. I have no doubt that if Romney is ever elected we will be at war with Iran or some middle east country within 24 months. Anyone care to take that bet?

I also know that not one person in this room will be on the ground fighting these wars they are so eager to fight nor will any of their children.

    • @WolfBite120 for sure but those same people type of people have always been around and are in every country .its not the poor that have put the country in the hole .the one thing that has changed in the world is china .they have stolen all the western worlds manufacturing jobs .until we put tarriffs on all there goods then we will continue to go downhill .in my opinion thats why europe is all of a sudden in the shit along with us .

    • @WolfBite120 Exactly what percentage of these "parasites" are actually people just struggling, compared to actual freeloaders where you would even say a comment like that?

    • @rpgmw3 He thanked the Seal team multiple times. Romney used the Libya incident immediately for his gains, and then smirked through the whole speech. Nothing like dead Americans to put you in a good mood!

    • @stevecore Of course he thanked the Seal team, otherwise we'd have his ass by the balls, but he acts like it couldnt have been done without him. Hes taking credit for all the good things thats happened in the past 4 years, but you hear nothing about his fuckups. His fuckups exceed any positive hes done.

    • @rpgmw3 A lot of these "fuck ups" you mention (economy, jobs, ect...) he tried to fix, but the GOP would filibuster every single piece of legislation he ever tried to pass. They were the most obstructive congress the country has ever seen.

      Far more filibusters.
