Ron Paul Releases First TV Ad — And It’s Epic

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul is using his first campaign television ad to promote his opposition to a compromise on raising the federal debt ceiling.

In the ad, the Texas congressman criticizes both Republicans and Democrats for striking deals in the past, and notes that he always has voted against raising the federal limit on borrowing.

    • @joalexan Hannity absolutely hates him because of Ron disagreeing with him in 08, I listen to Hannity every day on the way to work and if a caller even mentions Ron Paul he cuts them off the air.

  • What legislation did Reagan reluctantly agree to sign? It was called the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Reaffirmation Act of 1987, and Reagan objected to it because it would have required automatic spending cuts under certain circumstances that he feared would have compromised national defense. It's true the legislation also included a provision to raise the debt ceiling from $2.3 trillion to $2.8 trillion. But raising the debt ceiling was not in dispute; there was bipartisan agre More..

    • @MrTwinCity Reagan did right spending like crazy to end the cold war. Gramm-Rudman-Hollings was right to try to keep the spening in line.

But being on a military base overseas Gramm-Rudman-Hollings hurt like a mofo. Shuttle buses, USO shows, interservice sports programs and things like that were all cut first. Just things that made it a little more bearable to live so far from home.

  • "the Texas congressman criticizes both Republicans and Democrats for striking deals in the past". But, they have struck deals in the past. Now, they want to NOT strike a deal because their main goal is to make Obama a one-term president, not take care of the country or it's people. Repugnant.

    • @Charley572

Ron Paul remains the only consistent person on these types of "deals". JUST SAY NO!

All the rest including Obama are damn hypocrites of the highest order!

You think giving these arsehats more spending leverage is "taking care of the country or it's people"?

This is INSANE! Time to STOP THE SPENDING.

Potheads use their heads and are human beings who have many good ideas. Most are just young kids and twenty-something year olds who are still trying to figure out who they are and what they want out of life. I used to be one of them and it didn't hurt me in the slightest. Potheads supporting Ron Paul doesn't make Ron Paul any less credible. The sooner you realize that and listen to what he's saying and stop looking at his supporters, the sooner we can get him elected.

But if there's one glimmer of hope for your country, Ron Paul is the answer. the problem is, is that he talks intelligently, and most of the americans don't like that high-falootin gibberish.

See a pattern here Mannixxx? Stop being a party cheerleader and look at the facts. We do not have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem.
