Four suspected insurgents were killed near Adwaniyah during an engagement with coalition forces and Iraqi army soldiers on December 31, 2007 during Operation Corinth. After coalition and IA received small arms fire from enemy personnel hiding near a canal, Apache helicopters engaged the enemy with three hellfire missiles and 30mm gunfire.
