Fox's local Houston affiliate reporter, Duarte Geraldino, reported that he talked to the participants and found that "some attendees admit they don't live in the district." How did they get there? Geraldino noted "an internet campaign" by far right activists urging their allies to attend and he More..

  • There is a great article on the Washington Post [on July 31st] about Doctors and their unnecessary tests.

The "nonpartisan, independant" research firm [Lewin Group] being cited by the GOP during the Health Care debates, is owned by Health Insurer UnitedHealth, so you'll have to be dumb and blind to believe what they are saying.

On July 22nd, the Washington Post had a good article on their association...

The GOP is certainly "loony" to use their data.

    ROFLMAO

Birther stan, it is an important subject, these are not grass roots events. These are staged by the lunatic fringe far right goons.

why is that every time liberal democrats make themselves look stupid, they claim to be victims of a massive "right-wing conspiracy"? perhaps your socialist ideas are proven failures and you are in desperate need of a scapegoat?

who are the crazy conspiracy theorists now, chillyweewilly?

  • Quoted comment by anon-y-mouse: Congress was put there BY us FOR us. They are supposed to be representing US, not some government or dictator. Its quite clear that Americans DO NOT WANT THIS GARBAGE. Instead of our congressmen answering to us we have been reduced to bringing grievances to them...Its complete opposite of how our government is supposed to work. DOWN WITH OBAMA

Quoted comment by michaeljinva: The Insurance companies are spending 1.4 million per day of your premiums to get teabaggers to disrupt these town hall meetings and and frighten actual constituents from asking the questions that concern them.
Yeah that seems very patriotic to me.
Why don't they use that money to help those who cant afford those premiums. Or pay for treatment of a insureds preexisting condition. Or god forbid pay to include a cancer patient in a new treatment trial.
What are they so afraid of?

    Where's your evidence?

So the town halls are full of tea baggers? Not one of those people there give a shit about their healthcare?

Wow. I simply had no idea.

    "$1.4 MILLION?"

did you know that 84% of your numbers are entirely fictional?

your insurance company conspiracy contains less truth than the all of the "birther" conspiracies combined.

    1.4 million per DAY.

All these people are accomplishing is making the Right look like a batch of lunatics. They don't give a damn about what is actually being said, they just don't want the other side to say anything at all.

It's really a form of censorship, the people with legitimate questions or concerns over health care reform are getting drowned out by the drones. It's a ******* town hall, not a pentecostal sermon, no need to flail your arms and shout down the devil.

    Bullshit.

    The hypocrisy is stunning.

Apparently controlling the whole federal govn't isn't enough to carry out the great plans democrats have for America, they just need one more thing, for us to shut the **** up.

Yup. When Acorn buses in a bunch of crack heads and winos, puts sign in their hands and tells them to march in frront of a bank or a similar meeting, the MSM reports it as grass roots movement.

Actually, I have watched all of these videos several times. The people were not disruptive at all. The only time they "heckled" is when their representative began spewing the same ole talking points or total BS.
If my congress man stated "the purpose of the constitution is to provide for the common good" I would heckle him to.
    What an idiot!!!!
The Constitution puts limits on Government.
Also, These Congress people are supposed to represent the people that voted them in, not "das party" or "der president.
So Ride on people, I'm looking for one of these meetings to go to myself.
    Video Camera and all.

"the purpose of the constitution is to provide for the common good"

    correct

The Constitution grants powers in the name of the people, and the government draws its power from the consent of the governed. The document assumes that government officials will use their powers in the interests of the people.

    promote the general welfare.
