Haqani Terrorist Commander Detained In PaktikaFriday, June 01, 2012
Kabul (BNA) A commander of Haqani network was arrested in Paktika province today.
The identity of this commander has not clear but he was arrested in a
military operation of Afghan and NATO forces from outskirts of Soroobi
district.
According to NATO press statement, this commander controlled a large
group of insurgents and conducted attacks against Afghan and coalition
security forces in this district.
According to NATO, in this operation several other rebels of Haqani network with a number of arms have been arrested.
The statement said nothing about casualties of Afghan and NATO forces in this operation.
