@Meathead12 It may sound worse, but IMO the worst part about rap is the vain, violent, tough-guy, "zero responsibility" attitude that it promotes.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I hear dubstep blasting out of my kids room often and I don't actually mind it compared to most rap and its shitty outlook/influence.
Music does influence young people whatever people say. Just look at teenagers and the connection is clear to see. I was a Kurt Cobain freak as a teen (when he was still alive and making music) and it really did me no good.
