Foreign Policy of Turkey-10: Anger against Israeli Fascism

USA beleives it owns UN, UNSC, UNSC-6, NATO, Worldbank, IMF, apart from international judiciaries ICJ, ICC, etc. almost entire world. Turkey also could be easily bullied. Many Turks feel Turkey should refuse the missile shield to be placed in Turkey. It will not give the country anything apart from EU members continuing crying against Turkey, and it will hamper the relations with the neighbors. Let the EU sink in their Cyprus issue, and let's get the North recognized by OIC countries. That's what really matters.

By upgrading tirade against Islam and Muslims, the anti-Islamic nations and their vicious networks globally are attempting to curb fundamental religious rights of Muslims living in non-Islamicandanti-Islamic nations. Even in Islmiac world these rogue states imposetheir "democratic will" to discourage Islmaic fiath customs and norms.

US-European double-speak is well known especially in matters of democracy and religous freedom. Turkey's government has rightly accused Dutch terror PM Mark Rutte of discriminating Turks in the Netherlands for opposing cabinet ministers with a dual Dutch-Turkish nationality. Turkish government criticized Rutte for remarks he made during the parliamentary debate on the government policy statement earlier. During the debate, the conservative liberal leader said he was not concerned by the Dutch-Swedish nationality of Deputy Health Minister Marlies Veldhuijzen van Santen-Hyllner but did have a problem with the Turkish-Dutch and Moroccan-Dutch nationalities of two deputy ministers in the previous government.

Undoubtedly, Israeli terror attacks on besigiesed Palestinians for months in Gaza Palestine for polls gains hurt the Turkish people and governemtn so much that they planned ot free the palestins as the key foriegn policy. The Gaza-bound flotilla from Turkey was the direct outcome of that popular effort.

In today’s era of anti-Islamic trends, western countries like UK and Holland spread hatred for Islam by trying to clip the religious wings of Muslims lliving there as second class citizens.

Meida in Turkey played very useful role for the promotionof Palestinian cause. The Turkish company Pana Film created an action thriller based on the Israeli raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla that resulted in the deaths of nine activists in May. The flotilla was trying to break a blockade that Israeli imposed in 2007 to block shipments to Gaza. Israeli forces boarded the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara on May 31, killing eight Turks and a Turkish-American. Most of the activists on board the vessel were Turkish. The raid drew a furious international reaction and prompted Israel to ease the blockade.

The film, The Valley of the Wolves — Palestine, is a spinoff from an action TV series that features a Rambo-like superhero and his team of undercover agents. The hero, Polat Alemdar, played by Necati Sasmaz, heads to Israel to hunt down the Israeli authorities responsible for the raid and avenge the nine deaths on the flotilla. A trailer showing now in Turkish cinemas begins with an Israeli commander ordering his men to board the flotilla and Israeli soldiers shooting civilian activists armed only with crude weapons. The film is heavy on the action with exploding cars and the hero at one point confronting an Israeli commander, saying, "I don't know what part of this land is promised to you, but I promise you six feet under." Part of the movie, directed by Zubeyr Sasmaz, was filmed on the Mavi Marmara. The original script called for an action thriller set in the Palestinian territories, but the flotilla raid gave a new focus and thrust to the story, filmmakers told Turkish media.

Erdal Besikcioglu, a Turkish stage actor who plays the Israeli villain in the film, has been quoted as saying he accepted the role because he believes the raid should not be forgotten. The original 2001 TV series created by Osnan Sinav, Valley of the Wolves, mainly involved the hero tackling Turkish criminals. It was spun out into an enormously successful 2006 movie Valley of the Wolves: Iraq, set during the invasion of Iraq. That film, directed by Serdar Akar, was criticized for its anti-Semitic and anti-American stance.

Another Turkish TV series, Separation, which appeared in 2009, showed Israeli security forces kidnapping children and shooting old men and children as well as destroying Palestinian property. Separation caused a diplomatic row between Turkey and Israel in 2009. There are fears the film Valley of the Wolves — Palestine could do the same.

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor declined to comment Monday about the trailer or the film. Turkey is demanding an apology and compensation over the raid and the loss of nine lives. It has been openly critical of Israeli treatment of the Palestinians. The film is scheduled to be released Jan. 28 in Turkey. The film, with its anti-Israeli sentiments, seems set to expose Israeli fascist trends inflaming tensions between Turkey and Israel; The bilateral relations have been on poor terms since the raid.

Popularity of these satires indicates the anger of Turks over Israeli fascism and US imperialism.

There are those who will say that Turkey is turning away from the west and to the Arabs to Islam after having been a close ally of anti-Islmaic allliance and Israel. The EU has not signed a security agreement with Turkey. Turkey’s accession to the European Defense Agency has not yet been approved. Turkey is not actively involved in the European security and defense policies and Turkey is the only country in this position compared to other non-EU, but NATO member states.

But how many western states have solid relations with regimes in the Arab world? So the west can do wahtever thye please but Turkey can't? And a Euroepan naiton Turkey also not to be accepted into the EU? A new world order is sowly emerging to repalce unilateral Americna colonilaistic militarism. Turkey is also dealing with China. But not exactly the type Bush Jr was expecting.

People’s action is clealry missisng against the ilegal Wars. That is considered as a plus point for the imperialists and colonialists to prolong the wars.
