  • My fire team I was saved by AC130 Gunship on Oct 25th 1983. I was SM with 75th Inf. on Urgent Fury. I made it a point to find out who the pilot was. His name was Captain Gordon Hause. We remained very good friends until his death from a massive heart attack, just after his retirement. Very good guy, full of interesting stories. S.O.B. could drink any man under the table. After developing a relationship, We found that he was also a pilot of Spooky in Nam where I was and he flew missions. Who kno More..

  • At least some small portion of the money the government steals from me each week is going to something useful. Wouldn't mind seeing many more of these flying the friendly skies in Afganistan.

  • Well done.
    Thank You for this.
I know alot of brothers that owe their lives to these guys. I can think of a few times I wish I was allowed their support.
I cannot help but think that is one sweet ride...

  • Living near Hurlburt Field,Florida I see them flying almost everyday and hear them every night.
As I type this I can hear them practicing at Eglin AFB and feel my floor vibrate from the rounds(both the cannons and the gatlin guns).Come home safe guys, and gals!

  • I've seen one close up. It can put down the same firepower as an artilery battery. When it's flying above 2 miles you can't even hear it coming untill it's to late. Just one can destroy an entire division.
