this is the second part to the southern rock saga posted last night this is Classic clips, from the Old Grey Whistle Test, In Concert and even Wogan, of Southern rock boogie in excelsis from the bands who poured out of the Deep South in the 70s. Includes performances from the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Delaney & Bonnie with Eric Clapton, Dickey Betts from the Allman Brothers Band, the Marshall Tucker Band, Black Oak Arkansas, the Charlie Daniels Band, Greg Allman with then-wife Cher, Edgar Winter and, of course, Lynyrd Skynyrd.

@Arizona_Patriot I saw Dickey Betts when he was with The Marsh al Tucker Band play about a four minute solo at the Concord Pavillion in "74". I almost passed out I was so blown away that I forgot to breathe! Dickey was something else!

Damn, you are THE man ASW! So many great bands from the south. It must have been nice to have a show like this that showed the bands as they really played. All we had was fucking American Bandstand which was packaged shit! How come so many people are sitting on their hands when such hot music is being played? British reserve? Thanks man!
