@pruut Actually, it's not that far ahead, we've had colour changing traffic lights and LED signboards for ages. This is just one little advancement in ultra-bright, ultra-compact LED tech.

Once upon a time (in Queensland Australia at least) fire engines had red lights, police had blue lights and all other emergency vehicles had yellow ones. Nice and sensible - at least you could tell what you might be coming up to on the road before you got there. Nowadays they all light up like fucking Christmas trees.

@lozzah666 It's the same in Vermont, USA. Only the federal govt. can run red and blue in the same bar, everyone else has single color.

With the price of LEDs so cheap, why even have motor assisted revolving lights. Make modules with LEDs 360 degree around and let a computer 'shift' the lights.
