Larry Dixon in the Al-Anabi dragster (far lane) lines up with Cory McClenathan in the Fram dragster (near lane). When the tree falls they both get a good jump. Cory Mac ends up spinning the tires right in front of me, while Larry keeps diggin. This lead to the first win for the new Al-Anabi top fuel racing team, the combination of Dixon's driving, Alan Johnson's crew cheif skills and the sheik's money made one heck of a combination. While only racing to a thousand feet, instead of the 1350 in a 1/4 mile, dixon still managed a good time. Winning with a 3.898 at 311.50 mph. with a reaction time of 0.091 to Cory's 4.570 at 192.60 with a r/t of 0.095. The Al-Anabi top fuel dragster qualified as the fastest car before eliminations, and it ended up winning the event.
