It's amazing the Dutch got all the paper work filled out in time to intercept it, maybe someone skipped a step.

they do the same thing in Canadian airspace once or twice a year...testing limits and finding their allies weaknesses???

Looks impressive, but from memory the Bear was a pretty sub-standard rip-off of the B-52

well your memory fails you. Tu-95 of course was not a copy of B-52 to which it is superior in many ways. for example its operational range is twice is high

@Kris_Kelvin; You do not need high operational range if you have allies all over the world.
~8000 km for the B52 vs. 10.500 for the newest Tu95 type is not "twice" in my book.
Also, B52 can bring more bombs to the battlefield due to higher max take off weight.
All in all it makes no sense to compare these aircraft; they serve their respective countries well.

Reminds me of the good old days.
Cold War, submarines, Fulga Gap battle plans, two great Navies provoking each other.

They did this a few years ago, approaching UK airspace. RAF escorted them away. They're just trying to be provocative. However if we did shoot one of these down it would be the start of ww3, most likely a Nuclear war

Seems like this is no move to intimidate but rather to test response times.
