Anti-gravity is a plot device in fiction. Anti-gravity is physically impossible. There might be some sort of mag-lev roads and cars, but nothing like you think. These flying cars need not suck forever, but they gotta begin somehow.

Gyrocopters are not very fast - on good roads with moderate traffic - driving would be just as fast.

I just checked their website. It goes 180km/h as car and as gyrocopter. However when flying you can go the shortest distance between 2 points which will much faster then by road, even when flying a lot slower.

Seriously? People cant even handle driving cars now we need Heli cars? Even the most experienced Helicopter pilots can fatally crash with slight errors or sometimes mechanical failures...
