At least David Spade had to actually film his part in the ad. There is probably someone from Farley's estate that is getting paid to allow Directv to use existing footage of a man that died 12 years ago.
Personally, I find the Michael Jackson movie far more distasteful than this ad. It seems like Sony is going to make far more money with a movie about Jackson than Directv will make from Farley.
