'If War Should Come' series, Library Items 1,2 & 3.

from the marvellous GPO Film Unit (the General Post Office) 'Who are you?' 'Standing By' and 'Where's the Fire?'

as always, the detail is often in the background.

please note; this is an old historic film in f/c b&w which ideally requires a History-Plug-in for optimum results.

    • @anglosaxonwarlord I think someone is confused a little here anglo, I don't recall posting this one and I did a quick search and didn't see it, and unless someone's broke into your house or mine and nicked it I don't see how it could be! having said that, I've had some nice cheese for my supper tho.... I see lots of my posts reposted and not marked as such, many of them get featured too! I don't think I've ever said anything, it would seem petty .. but you're right tho. (PITA)

  • As I watch these films I am aware that the people in them have for the most part have lived their lives to completion. I then wonder if they lived well. Life is so damn short, and it offers few do-overs.

There is one thing I admire most about the British is the age of the country. In the fire section the Narrator actually refers to a fire that occurred back in 1660! Now that give one a real sense of continuity. Long live the British people!

As always I thank you for your generosity in taking More..
