The album's called ORE. It was recorded (mostly) by Rich Mattson (Ole Yeller, The Tisdales, etc...) at Sparta Sound, which is way up near Canada on The Iron Range in Northern Minnesota. Rich bought an old church out in the country, sold the pews on ebay, then used the proceeds to build the finest recording studio in the Quad Cities area (Eveleth, Gilbert, Mt. Iron and Virginia). It was a joy to record there.
The following musicians played on the sessions: Bill Bulinski (The Electras, The Greaseballs), Pete "The Beat" Garmin (too many local bands to mention), Marty "Hammond B3" Halverson (Wheeler Dealers, High Drama Blues Band), Mark "Haggis" Henderson (Mark Henderson & Mojosaurus Blues Band) on slide guitar, Josh Palmi (Lost Children, Big Woody) on bass, Ben Paolo (a young local drummer/drum instructor), and Warren Pulford (30 year live local music veteran on the blues harp). I wrote the tunes, sang, played rhythm (and some lead) guitar, and did the percussion tracks.
What was cool to me about this project was how the blend of musicians was multi-generational. A kid in his 20's, 2 guys in their 30's, 3 in their 40's, 2 in their 50's, and one in his 60's (the Hall Of Famer, Bill, who also helped out immensely with the final arrangements).
Hope you enjoy!
BTW, mods, I own all the rights to the songs and master recordings
