I should think the Germans are planning their escape from this fiasco at this moment...

Oh, how glad I am we are not involved to that extent,

We WILL get our referendum in the end and the British will throw the shackles of Europe in the ENGLISH Channel, along with the worst miscreant criminality we have ever seen in this country (and that includes the Norman period)

bye bye E.U.

    • @kajidono The USA is already in a worse state. The difference is, money in Europe is more controlled, as in it comes from somewhere. The USA just prints more, lowering the value of the $. EU countries can't do that.

    • @X-Tatic a lot of the bailout funds for European banks in 2008 came from the fed... thus the whole system is interconnected the US is in a bad way but Europe is spending fake money to

  • I feel sorry for Germany.

A hard-working people (some of the most productive in the world) having to bail out their idiotic European counterparts (the same ones that take ciestas and spend their kids futures for welfare programs.)

Europe is majorly screwed unless they make serious cuts (especially to social programs), and Germany seems to be the only country to have its shit straight.

Yes, but your kids are guaranteed to be screwed if you leave them a mountain of debt and unfunded liabilities (like we are doing here in the states.)

Well your country did a great job up to 2002 when your debt went down to 29%, but in the last ten years your debt has begun to balloon to over 60%; even though your country went through some good times of expansion.

The problems are because of bailing out Northern Rock, RBS, Lloyds and other banks; along with greatly increased debt spending on education, health care and social security.

Your debt has begun to increase exponentially and is on track to greater and greater debt burd More..

  • Merkel "We talked about a formulation then talked about football".

Whether this was real or not, I have no idea but it is CNN so one does have to wonder.

  • It is obvious that all the politicans really want the same thing, they cannot however have those oppinions made public since the public would riot and depose these dictators.

  • Germany won't exist as a nation state by the time this is over. A European superstate is on the horizon The bankers want Europe driven into insolvency so they won't have negotiation room left at the bargaining table. All their leaders are on a "chattel drive" to lead europe over a cliff. Is it so hard to figure out when your leaders use terms like "borrowing to get out of debt" , that a disaster will soon follow?

  • I already feel betrayed by Pres. Hollande who said that the big winner was Europe and that was the most important.

  • I would love to have a vote on the EU disaster but I am not sure it will ever happen no matter who is in charge. It is not in their interest to allow the people to have a word on the matter.

  • The currency is socialism at it base form.

A bunch of people (countries) get together and talk about how great it will be to commune and become an entity with a single purpose or promoting the welfare of all people (countries).

But after a short while some countries go on to abuse their relationship with the others and then expect the others to fix it for them, so they can keep on doing the types of things that caused the problems to begin with.

It is like taking an “A” student, a “B More..
