Now I understand why Columbus'crew committed all these atrocities against the natives. Until now it was a mystery.
Also it's interesting to know when and what brought the Chinese to South America and the Caribbean. There are lots of Spanish jokes about the Chinese names: "what do you call a widow in Chinese? Answer: Ta-U-Sa (Black-Cuban slang for saying "esta usada", which means "she's used".)
