Quadcopter Flown FPV using the Verizon 4G LTE Network

I flew one of my Quadcopters FPV using a chat service and the Verizon 4G network. FPV or First Person View flying is normally done with a camera and video transmitter mounted on the radio controlled aircraft. You fly the aircraft from the view of the camera using goggles or a monitor on the groung. It was a lot of fun doing the test.

  • He got lucky, and or it was edited. If you look at the shots that show his phone, it looks laggy as crap. In the end when he describes it he says it was "adequate". That's as much as he could talk out his ass in front of the client. Nuff said.

    • @zorro869 it was a recodring not a live feed. did you see at the start the video he was seeing on the phone? lag-o-riffic

    • @absu69 At 1:11 the copter is passing the stack of drums with the red one on bottom. Then passes them approaching the "hole" with all blue barrels in view.
At 1:13 on, the copter cam and his viewfinder are not matching. His is still showing The barrels with the red bottom. So it it a lag, or an editing mistake. That just described would be enough to make a boo boo real quick.

    • @RP_McMurphy Haha, was going to say the same thing. That video is going to need a little "editing" to make it viral worthy, LOL.

  • The German hexacopter vid was much better. It used 3d goggles plus a HD camera.

Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8a14ZCi8SZA super uber cool.

The quality is good but the aim is different, it's good for artistic videos. The other one is a cypher for spying purpose and it has a live camera while the german one is only recording.

The German camera was piloted with a 3D vision camera and an HD camera to get the detail.

He could fly the aircraft through dense jungle and even through car windows only because of the 3D vision system

Check out my links and get back to me.

Going through a 4G link in a warehouse is not news. Flying through a car window in HD is.
