DECLARATION OF THEIR BEAUTY 2012

Hi there, my name is Said Omar Muhammad and this is one of my poems.

'WOMEN'S RIGHTS ARE NOT MAN'S RIGHT TO GIVE. WOMENS RIGHTS ARE GOD'S GIVEN RIGHTS.' Sa'id Omar Muhammad (Poet and Advocate for Womens Highest Rights).

'DECLARATION OF THEIR BEAUTY' was written by myself at a time when watching the world I realised that women seem to be judged (by men and other women) on their outer appearance. Having said that outer beauty in itself is not wrong, but for it to have the emphasis compared to the inner beauty of woman kind; well that is shallow thinking to say the least.

Respect for our Mothers is usually automatic and Respect for our Sisters and Daughters is also usually automatic.

This is a question for US men; how much respect within our mind do we give to women who are not of our kin (family). Do we view them as objects or as a gender of which is lower than us in status? Or do we truly treat all women as our Mothers and Sisters and Daughters (unless of course with the view to courtship and then respect is paramount).

On a Religious note: Many of us have seen the Documentaries of how some so called Muslims in Pakistan are killing their babies if they are female or indeed willing to make a profit out of them.

The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.S. at the beginning of the creation of Islam, forbid such murder and disrespect of Women Kind. For example he abolished the pre-Islamic Arabian custom of burying alive unwanted female infants. He also decreed that women could own and inherit property, and that women have the right to enjoy sex!

However that was sixteen hundred years ago and some Countries who claim Islamic Authority do not treat women with the way of the Prophet S.A.W.S.

'Though the empowerment of women, resulting from better education and employment, is changing societal structures, we must do more to honour the gender equality expounded by the Qur'an. Forced marriages, "honour" killings, and women's confinement to the home by culture, tradition and societal norms have no endorsement from Islam.' ( Dr. Aftab Ahmad Khan, is a retired professor and author of many books including Sex and Sexuality in Islam (2006)).

This is a message to them and to any Country (no matter what faith) that women have a right to be given respect more than that of a man. AND IT IS ABOUT TIME THIS WAS GIVEN!

Please listen to the Poem and Meditate on what is said and then at the end of the Poem reflect on the question given.
