The SS Gairsappa was sunk by a U Boat In 1941 whilst transporting 200 tons of silver from India,all but one of the 85 five crew perished,The £130 million estimated worth of the silver will be splitt ,80% to the salvagers Odyssey Marine Exploration and the remaining 20% to the British Treasury
