    • I also would have liked to see two replacement towers. Perhaps some modest, tasteful improvement over the perfect rectangle shape even. Maybe even a little taller.
      Like the extra wide stairwells, that's a good idea.

    • those new improvements will set precedent with building construction in NY and will spread eventually across the US. I say within next few yrs that will be new standard for all bldg construction: wider stairwells communication lines for fire/police, independent/redundant fire suppression all ran through reinforced core

    Not after the Chinese rented two floors....the port authority changed the name to suit them.

    They will not be called the freedom towers....its offensive to the ChiComms.
