Can be quite useful when you're stuck and don't have any opener or knife
F.A.Q. from @shadowjack
1) Is he survivor?
No. In fact, he is bushcraft (more like taigacraft) instructor. He has many great and unique videos on survival and self-reliance. Here is his channel (in Russian, sorry guys): http://www.youtube.com/user/Grigoryi1/videos
2) You can't open flat can this way.
You can, and he did video about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J8jULurs5I
3) What is this stuff in can? Cat food?
It's buckwheat kasha ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kasha ). It's cereal, and popular in Russia because it has high calorie content, easy to digest and many find it tasty.
4) You can't do it with xxx, because it contains more liquid.
Buckwheat is selected for demonstration because it would not get too messy on camera. You can use plastic bag, suck out some of the liquids etc in survival situation.
5) There is much easier method to open can using concrete/screwdriver/knife/axe/chainsaw.
This video is response to comments to his earlier video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4b9nkzm_zU where he shows more common ways to open a can. And everyone knows concrete trick. The thing is, you can be be miles away from civilization or any suitable rock.
