The Chinook helicopter is one bad ass machine. Just imagine, your special ops boats could be extracted from the field in less than a minute by speeding into the back of a floating helo. Awesome stuff.

What with excellent drone technology, I don't see too many situations where this kind of thing will be necessary anymore.
If you are going to keep doing this, it would be safer with a canvas dam at the back that the helo crew releases just before the boat arrives. Protection against pilot error or wind gusts that drop the helo too low.
