I agree. However, I don't know about letting him drive away while alteraded... people shouldn't drive under emotional stress. What about: "Now sir take a seat and chill out for ten minutes, it's just a traffic ticket, not the end of the world..."

we wouldnt have ANY drvers on the road then here in the US. Emotion is a human thing. can be happy,mad,or sad but as long as oyur not drunk or under anything that would influence your perception.

Absolutely, not only in your country, that's everywhere. I just wanted to say the officer would have been absolutely perfect, had he talked the guy into chilling out before lettim him go with his ticket but, then again, I guess it's asking too much. He did very well in staying calm.
