Piper Aztec overruns runway at St. Barths airport.
Pilot of a Piper Aztec came in way too fast into St. Barths. A notorious airport for being situated directly in front of a rather steep hill. Pilots need to be aware not to come in too fast, and if they do, perform an immediate go-around. This pilot landed 3/4 down the runway and had to apply heavy breaking. He was not able to stop in time and ploughed his very nice looking twin into the sand completely totalling both of his engines and probably scaring the hell out of his passengers. The pilot also stayed with his aircraft completely disregarding the fact it could potentially catch on fire or exploding.
