CHANDLER, Arizona - A 46-year-old Chandler woman who was arrested for criminal damage told police officers she was "mad at men."
Tracy Patterson was arrested on Sunday. According to the police report, police were called out to a Chandler residence on reports of a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.
The man had apparently locked Patterson out of the home, and refused to let her in because "he feared she would assault him."
She was trying to break in using some type of tool, and there were scratch marks on the front door, according to police.
Patterson allegedly admitted to using a tool from her truck to break into the apartment.
She was handcuffed and placed in the back of the patrol car. There, officers say, she was able to slip out of the left handcuff and rip out the patrol car's GPS module, leaving it hanging by the cords.
When asked about it, she admitted she did it because she was "upset" and "mad at men."
Patterson was booked into the 4th Ave Jail on one count of criminal damage.
