I can't really see his flight director so I can't see how high and fast the plane it..
it was the bird fault, he was preforming an unauthorized climb into the planes path. it should have asked for clearance to that flight level. :)

My real day job is that of a commercial airline pilot (a Boeing 757). About 10 years ago, I struck a goose while on final approach into Boston's Logan International Airport. It made quite a "thud", and startled all of us up on the flight deck. Fortunately, there was no glass breakage or obscured view. Just a little pinkish smear on one window. We continued with our approach and landing without incident. The First Officer and myself have never forgotten it.
